Isabel Rubiera
About.
Isabel Rubiera is a senior at the University of South Florida pursuing her Bachelor Fine Arts Degree in Dance, set to graduate in Spring 2026. She began her training at The Dance Academy of Stuart, where she danced competitively and developed a strong technical foundation across a wide range of styles. Her early training instilled in her a disciplined work ethic, versatility, and a drive to push herself artistically and athletically.
During her time at USF, Isabel has had the opportunity to work with an array of renowned guest artists, including Jennifer Archibald, Roderick George, Kelly King, Saar Magal, and James Morrow. She has also trained extensively under esteemed faculty members Jeanne Travers, Paula Nuñez, and Andrew Carroll. These experiences have shaped her into a dynamic mover with a deep curiosity for how diverse choreographic voices and styles intersect. She also studied abroad through the USF Dance in Paris Program, an experience that broadened her artistic perspective and exposed her to new movement ideas. She continues to carry this inspiration into her senior-year work.
Isabel aspires to pursue a professional career in both the concert and commercial dance worlds, with a particular interest in exploring how the two realms can enhance one another and strengthen her versatility as an artist. She embraces each day as an opportunity to evolve, both has a mover and an artist. She is passionate about bringing a choreographer’s vision to life, adapting her movement quality, character, and artistry to fit any creative process.
Isabel approaches every opportunity with determination, passion, and an eagerness to evolve—qualities that continue to define her journey as an emerging dance artist.
